Äänekoski is situated in the middle of Finland by the highway E75, about 40 km North from Jyväskylä, 20 km from Jyväskylä airport. Main concerts are played in Jazz Tent situated in Häränvirta Park near city centre. Other venues are City Hall, Art Museum and Painotalo Club. There are also free concerts in Central Park.
